Extraction

The extraction of Formentera Sea Water is carried out in the open sea within the first nautical mile, in areas where the minimum depth varies between 40 and 100 meters and whose catch is between 15 and 25 meters deep; looking for rocky bottoms, out of bays, ports, beaches, and in general out of inhabited areas where there could be any human activity that could pose a risk to the quality of seawater.

For nursery and similar uses, seawater can be collected at different mobile points, all of them far away from urbanized areas, wastewater treatment plants, desalination plants and in general from any human activity that may pose a risk to the quality of seawater.

Filtering

We use different stages to reach the optimum filtration for its use for human consumption.

We carry out an initial pre-filtering at the intake to avoid solid particles in suspension. Then we proceed to three different stages of filtration and sterilization, finishing the latter with a microfiltration of 0.20 microns for use in cooking and the like and an ultrafiltration for direct consumption and the like.

Quality Assurance Self-check

We are committed to the quality of our product, that is why we carry out numerous quality analyses of both the extraction area and the final product.

The analyses have different parameters, following the guidelines of Royal Decree 140/2013 and Royal Decree 1799/2010 that regulates the process of elaboration and commercialization of packaged seawater for human consumption.

The maximum recommended dose per person per day is 50 ml in ultra-filtered seawater (except in certain cases, please ask your healthcare provider).

Packaging

• Ultra-filtered, because with less quantity more minerals are absorbed and in a more efficient way, being this a more natural process. With this filtration the doses are up to six times lower than with microfiltered seawater.

• The mineral in seawater is found in an inorganic form, in order to assimilate it, it has to pass through the plankton, producing a phenomenon called biocenosis, which is the transformation of the inorganic mineral into organic and therefore bio-available, i.e. assimilable for our organism.

Uses

For rapid mineralization and alkalinization through direct consumption with a minimum amount of product.

Basic ways of drinking:

HYPERTONIC: Drink directly without diluting. In small doses (30 ml) and spaced during the day. In a small glass add about 30 ml and as a rinse we will keep the plasma for a few moments in the mouth mixing it with our saliva, so that it will isotonize the marine plasma. Seawater contains approximately four times more dissolved salts than our internal plasma (seawater 36 g/l versus internal plasma 9 g/l) and this is the main reason for drinking it in small doses.

ISOTONIC: Mix the sea water with the natural mineral water at a ratio of 1 to 3, that is, 1 part Deep Sea Water to 3 parts mineral water.

ENRICHED or HYPOTONIC: Mix Deep Sea Water with water, juices, smoothies and beverages at a ratio of 2% to 3% in your favorite beverage.
